- CHRONIC EFFECTS
- Sensitized (allergic) individuals may show allergenic lung and/or skin reaction. After an individual is diagnosed as sensitive to isocyanates, no exposure should be permitted. Chronic effects of overexposure to xylene may include kidney or liver damage.

IV. FIRST AID MEASURES
- EYE CONTACT
- After initial flusing, remove any contact lenses and continue flushing for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
- SKIN CONTACT
- Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash affected area immediately with large amounts of soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
- INHALATION
- If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention if cough or other symptoms develop.
- INGESTION
- Get immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting. Contact a physician. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

- Vapors may flow along surfaces to distant ignition sources and flash back. Closed containers exposed to heat may explode. Contact with strong oxidizers such as liquid chlorine or concentrated oxygen may cause fire.

- Use water spray to cool non-involved containers.
- As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.

- STORAGE PRECAUTIONS:
- Recommended storage is less than 90°F. Avoid extreme temperatures. Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a cool dry place.

- EYE / FACE PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Wear safety glasses. A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910-134 and ANSI Z88-2 requirements must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator’s use.
